Projects

These images are from some sports photography I was asked to do by a local football team.

After the benches had been installed on Roughfields (see the previous project), there was an official bench opening which the Mayor and Mayoress attended.

The local community campaigned and raised £1000 in order to install these onto Roughfields. Local people volunteered to install these benches and I captured this in a timelapse and a slideshow of images throughout the day. Here there are only a couple of the images, click the buttons at the side to see all of the images I took as well as the timelapse.

This project was for the second half of year 1 in college. this was based on what my version of utopia was. In this project, I recorded my primary and secondary research towards the final images. I researched the web and asked friends and family what their utopia was to gain a better understanding of how it can vary from person to person.

For this project, we walked around Ashton looking for different shot types but this was hard to do due to covid. In these images, I captured the beautiful weather we have had recently with the emptiness of Ashton centre due to lockdown. even though lockdown has been slowly relaxed many people are still staying home as a precaution.

This is the Second college project I have completed. This was based on the topic of identity. I used the theme of memories to create a series of images. I have linked these images to dementia since three of my family members have been through this life-changing disease. Throughout the period of Coronavirus, people with dementia have been hit badly as their routine has been completely disrupted having to stay home. As a result of staying home, these people haven’t had anything to keep their minds busy therefore their dementia has worsened.

This is the first college project I completed. The brief was to create a series of portrait images in order to improve on my portrait photography ready for the final identity project. As seen in the images here, we used many different locations in order to get a good shot. this was in an attempt to include as many photographic elements within the images as possible. This was hard due to corona locking us inside therefore we couldn’t go far so worked with what we had in the local area.
